JULY 18, 2020. Western Head, Nova Scotia. Car Accidents. .

Even when you are not at fault, every car accident costs both time and money. Poor Mary Frances was waiting to turn right when a car hit her in the back of her car. He backed up and she thought he was moving over to the curb to check the damage. But he just drove around her and disappeared down the road. She was so startled that she was unable to get his license. She was mad and scared. She was required to give two estimates for the insurance company. She could drive the car but was unable to open the back so the car needed to be repaired. The car was not new to Mary Frances but it was serviceable and safe. And she liked her car. But the insurance company had other ideas. The repairs cost more than the value of the car so the declared the car a total loss. The company gave Christina the cash value. Christina and Mary Frances went shopping for used cars, which takes time and money. They settled on a small SUV Honda, the same style but a newer version of her old car. I asked to name the car but MF had already given the new car a name, Helen. But I was allowed a middle name. Now after considerable amount of both time and money, Mary Frances is sporting a blue Honda with the wonderful name of Helen Harbour. Pretty good result for all their efforts.
