April 8, 2021. Madison, Mississippi. Friend Bo.

On Monday I had lunch with Bo. This was his treat and he selected Anjou, a lovely French restaurant across from the Renaissance, a shopping center. Bo is a nice fellow. He is married to my doctor, the geriatric specialist and was a fishing buddy of Andrew. Since Andrew died, Bo has kept in touch with me regularly. Every few months he texts me just to see if I am fine. And a couple of times a year we have lunch. Then he drives me home. Since I met him last, he has moved to a different law firm, which turns to be close to Anjou. We could see his office from the restaurant. And their daughter is now at college. So we had a lot to talk about. People in Mississippi are kind to me. Bo always asks when he can do to help me. But of course, I have everything I need. But I know if I need someone he would help. Our lunch was delicious. Bo ordered crepes filled with goat cheese and crab meat while I ordered mussels, which were delicious. It was when I was eating the mussels when my filling fell out. Bo and I had a grand time. He and Kathy are pondering a purchase of country property so we talked about the value of a retreat where you can hike for an hour on your own property. Now I look forward to having lunch with him again. Next time I will invite him and select the restaurant. I have already decided to eat at Sombro...but that will have to wait until I return in October.
