January 18, 2022. Playa Royale, Nuevo Vallarta. The Balcony.

For most of the day, the balcony is wonderful. There is always a breeze during the day and of course, we always look out at the Bay of Bandares, which is a part of the Pacific Ocean. We look out at all the little boats throughout the day. We eat all our meals on the balcony. The temperature here in Mexico is perfect so we are comfortable in a light shirt and shorts. Until around 5:00, we are in the shade which makes our life comfortable out on the balcony. Beginning around 5:00, sitting on the balcony is impossible because you have the sun in your eyes so we come inside. But beginning 20 minutes before sunset, we return to the balcony to eat sunset food. By then, the sun is low enough that you can stand to watch the sunset. And we enjoy the rest of the evening on the balcony. Even if the temperature drops a degree or two, the air is still warm because the breeze stops blowing. We eat our dinner on the balcony while the night descends while we sit there. And we talk and watch for lights out at sea. Evenings on the balcony are just perfect. We listen to the waves crashing into the shore and we enjoy the quiet of the night. Evenings on the balcony are perhaps the best part of the day. We five feel so fortunate that we are all together in Mexico enjoying the warm air and sunshine sitting on the balcony. Nothing better I think.
