I know that Detroit is on the Detroit River. And I know that in order to get into Lake Huron we must cruise along the Lake St. Clair. But when we left Detroit we could see houses all along the shore. THe whole way from Detroit until we entered Lake Huron we could see houses both big and small. Boat houses too. We could never see when we left the river and entered the lake. But it was a wonderful morning cruising along the shore.
and then we turned the corner and could see a lot of water. We were looking at Lake Huron, big water. We cruised right through the middle of Lake Huron. All night we drove and finally arrived into Georgian Bay. The water was rocking and rolling. But we did not see a thing. No land in sight. Just like on the ocean. Lake Huron is the second largest of the Great Lakes. So we were truly cruising through big water. Exciting.
