July 18, 2022. Western Head, Nova Scotia. The Kedji Seaside Hike.

Today the Texans took their last hike in cool air and they selected a great hike.  They walked in the Kedji Seaside Park to see the seals.  From our home you drive south and park not far from Highway 103.  You walk to the sea and walk along the top of the rocks to see all the seals.  The day was perfect for a long hike and it was overcast with fog coming and going.  They saw lots of seals.

I had told them about a longer hike back to the parking lot, which entails more walking along the shore, followed by a path through wetlands and grasses, mainly on board walks and rocks.  The full hike ended up to be almost 6 miles so they were all pleased with their day.  The hike is lovely with enough variety to be interesting.

On the way home they stopped at The Quarterdeck  for seafood chowder and biscuits.  David, Suzanne, Debbie, Heath and Harper were happy campers when they arrived home at Western Head.
