I stood for a full five minutes looking at the light fixture in the dining room of our new home, trying to figure out whether or not I could live with that gorgeous chandelier. Clearly it was expensive and very large. The light was excellent too. But it is all crystal and glass and was huge, really too big for the room. It certainly was not our style but I did not want to just throw it out so I could not figure out what to do. But I got lucky. The seller asked if she could take her chandelier and in exchange give us $1000. for a new one, which she will install prior to settlement. My problem was solved. Some days you just get lucky.
