September 22, 2022. Western Head, Nova Scotia. Anticipation & Cancellations.

Tomorrow, I was supposed to go out to lunch with Wendy and Clausen.  But we cancelled.  Instead, they will bring sandwiches over to my house so we can watch the fierce waves.   The Ferries have been cancelled all weekend, both from Yarmouth and Digby.  It is too dangerous being out at sea.  Between the wind and the rain, being out and about would be dangerous.  So once again, we stay home and try to stay safe and sound.

The storm has started.  Already the wind is fierce.  I have the feeling that the power might go out at any time.  Flashlights in the bedroom are at the ready.  The rains have started and will continue to increase throughout the night, although we are not supposed to get the worst of the storm until Saturday.  At the moment, the eye of the storm will hit land on the other side of Halifax, although that could change.  PEI, Cape Breton and Newfoundland will get the worst of the storm.  But the South Shore, where I live will have a big storm.  Everyone has gotten ready.  And most events have been cancelled.  Now we wait and try to get a good nights sleep.  The storm is definitely coming.
