Actually, it was not really a party. It was Sunday lunch where we served Cuban food. But Chantes called it a Cuban Party so that was what we called it. The Cuban Party was a success. I kept the party small. Four friends and their families. All the children came. The weather was hot. Over 90 so I decided to do the event inside. All the young men took their food outside to the deck but everyone else stayed in the air conditioned house.
Chants did a good job with his selection of the Cuban food. He cooked three different types and flavor of Cuban food. Everyone enjoyed the variety and the different flavors. Chantes and Gabriele did all the cooking. I organized everything else. So the lunch was delicious and the party was low key and pleasant. Chantes served Cuban juice. And played Cuban music. And I asked him to give the blessing in Spanish. So for two hours, we all pretended we were in Cuba. The lunch was everything you want a party to be. And I did not need to cook!!
